Product Description
Drag Conveyor Drop Forged Chain MCL56, MCL80
Product Description
The drop forged chain is mainly composed of 3 drop forged components that are the pin roll, middle chain ring, and the outer chain sidebar. It can be conveniently assembled and disassembled, completely by hand without tools. For instance, the assembly can be easily completed by passing the outer sidebar through the middle chain ring, and then rotate the middle chain ring for 90 degrees to engage with the pin roll.
When the chain forms into a ring, it can be utilized as a conveyor chain for heavy loads. Our drop forged chain is often found on the conveying equipment and suspension equipment, in automobile, food processing, and steel making industries.
Our company is the largest drop forged chain manufacturer. The main products are standard drop forged chain.

Can drag chains be used in the pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing industry?
Yes, drag chains can be used in the pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing industry, and they offer several benefits in this specific application. Here’s why:
- Cable Protection: In pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing, there are often numerous cables and hoses that need to be protected and organized. Drag chains provide a reliable and efficient way to route and protect these cables, preventing tangling and potential damage during the manufacturing process.
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Drag chains made from materials like stainless steel or special plastics can meet the industry’s stringent cleanliness and hygiene requirements. They are easy to clean and can withstand regular washdowns, ensuring a contamination-free manufacturing environment.
- Smooth Movement: Drag chains ensure smooth and consistent movement of cables and hoses, which is crucial in delicate medical device manufacturing processes where precision and accuracy are essential.
- Reduced Downtime: By organizing and protecting cables, drag chains help reduce the risk of cable damage and downtime due to cable-related issues. This leads to increased productivity and cost savings in the long run.
- Compliance: Drag chains can be designed to meet specific industry standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements in pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing.
- Space Efficiency: Drag chains help in neatly organizing cables and hoses in a compact manner, optimizing the use of space in manufacturing equipment and reducing clutter.
Overall, drag chains play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency, cleanliness, and safety of cable management in pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing, making them a valuable component in this industry.
How do drag chains perform in dusty or dirty environments?
Drag chains are designed to perform exceptionally well in dusty or dirty environments, making them ideal for industrial applications where debris, dirt, and contaminants are common. Here’s how drag chains excel in such conditions:
- Protection: Drag chains enclose and protect cables and hoses, preventing dust, dirt, and debris from coming into direct contact with sensitive components. This protection minimizes the risk of cable damage or premature wear due to environmental factors.
- Sealed Design: Many drag chains have a sealed or semi-sealed design, further enhancing their ability to keep out dust and dirt. The sealed construction helps maintain the integrity of cables and hoses, ensuring reliable performance in challenging environments.
- Self-Cleaning: Drag chains are often designed with self-cleaning capabilities. As the chain moves, it sweeps away loose particles and debris, reducing the accumulation of dirt and ensuring smooth cable movement.
- Durable Materials: Drag chains are typically made from durable materials such as steel, stainless steel, or reinforced plastics. These materials are resistant to wear and can withstand exposure to harsh environmental conditions.
- Easy Maintenance: Despite operating in dusty or dirty environments, drag chains are designed for easy maintenance. They can be opened and cleaned when needed, allowing for quick removal of accumulated dirt or debris.
- Long Service Life: By providing effective cable protection and reducing exposure to contaminants, drag chains contribute to the longevity of cables and hoses, extending their service life in challenging industrial settings.
- Variety of Designs: Drag chains come in various designs and styles to suit specific applications. Whether the environment requires additional protection from dust, moisture, or chemicals, there are drag chain options available to meet those needs.
In summary, drag chains are highly effective in dusty or dirty environments due to their protective and self-cleaning features, durable materials, and ease of maintenance. They play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable and efficient performance of cable and hose management in challenging industrial conditions.
Can drag chains be used in robotic systems and automated machinery?
Yes, drag chains are commonly used in robotic systems and automated machinery to manage and protect cables and hoses. Robotic systems and automated machinery often require a complex network of cables and hoses to power and control the various moving parts and components. Drag chains offer a reliable solution for organizing and guiding these cables, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Benefits of using drag chains in robotic systems and automated machinery:
1. Cable Protection: Drag chains enclose and protect cables and hoses from external elements such as dust, debris, and mechanical stress. This protection prevents cable damage, extends their lifespan, and reduces the risk of costly downtime due to cable failures.
2. Cable Management: With a drag chain, cables are neatly organized and guided along a predefined path, reducing the chances of tangling or snagging during the robotic or machine movements. This organized cable management contributes to smoother and more precise operations.
3. Flexibility and Range of Motion: Drag chains are designed to flex and bend, allowing the cables to move freely with the robotic arm or machinery. This flexibility ensures that the cables can follow the range of motion required without any restrictions.
4. Space Optimization: In robotic systems and automated machinery where space is often limited, drag chains provide a space-efficient solution for cable management. They keep cables contained in a compact manner, optimizing the use of available space.
5. Safety: Drag chains contribute to the overall safety of robotic systems and automated machinery by preventing cable entanglement or tripping hazards. The organized cable management reduces the risk of accidents and ensures a safer working environment.
6. Increased Reliability: Reliable cable management provided by drag chains leads to improved overall system reliability. The reduced wear and tear on cables, along with the protection from external factors, result in more dependable and long-lasting performance.
7. Easy Installation and Maintenance: Drag chains are designed for easy installation and maintenance. Cables can be easily added or removed from the chain as needed, simplifying the maintenance process.
In summary, drag chains are essential components in robotic systems and automated machinery, ensuring efficient cable management, protection, and safety. They contribute to the smooth operation and longevity of these systems, making them widely used in a variety of industrial applications.
